- Global Alliance for Tax Justice’s committed partner the Tax Justice Network, based in the UK, is looking for a home-based researcher and for a Head of communications:
“The home-based researcher post holder will contribute to the development of research briefs, undertake desk-based research in preparation for the publication of reports and briefings, and contribute to high-level advocacy activities. She or he will play a key role in supporting collaboration, thematic synergies and crosscutting communications between strategic programmes, and will from time to time provide logistical support for research and advocacy events.”

- Integrity Watch Afghanistan (IWA), is looking for a senior researcher or tax expert to lead a project on 'Tax Evasion in Afghanistan' from its design up to finalization of the research report. IWA has local researchers to collect data and the consultant will be involved in designing the research, guiding local researchers during the data collection, analyzing the data and finally writing the report.
This position at IWA is open until filled.
- The Danish Embassy in Kampala is commissioning a scoping study on Illicit Financial Flows in Uganda:
The Embassy is implementing a new Country Programme for Danish development cooperation with Uganda for a five-year period of 2018-2022. Among others, the proposed programme will support the curbing of Illicit Financial Flows. The overall purpose of the study is to assess the nature and extent of illicit financial flows in Uganda and inform the design of the Danish engagement on curbing IFFs. The time estimated for the consultancy is 55 days for a team of 3 people between February and May 2018. More information here.

- The European Network on Debt and Development (Eurodad), who hosts Global Alliance for Tax Justice’s regional network Tax Justice Europe, is looking for 2 permanent positions as Senior Policy and Advocacy Officers:
Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer - Tax Justice: The purpose of this role is to help ensure that Eurodad’s exciting work tackling tax avoidance and evasion that leads to enormous outflows of wealth from developing countries is based on robustly researched analysis, with a strong advocacy focus and an understanding of how this supports strategic campaigns. The role involves research, monitoring and analysing policy developments, advocacy and networking, including by producing joint reports and analysis with our members and partners. Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer - Publicly-Backed Private Finance: The successful candidate will play a major role in Eurodad’s exciting work to make publicly supported private finance contribute to sustainable development objectives. This currently means leading our work supporting a global campaign on public-private partnerships (PPPs), and developing or supporting our work on other key issues, including infrastructure investment, and the role of public development banks. The role involves network and campaign coordination, research, advocacy, networking, monitoring and analysing policy developments, including by producing joint reports and analysis with our members and partners.
